Sharpening dull knives couldn't be easier with the Smith's Consumer Products Inc. Edge Gourmet Compact Electric Knife Sharpener. The electric sharpening slots feature a synthetic abrasive sharpening wheel with blade guides to automatically hold your knife at the correct sharpening angle. After sharpening with the electric wheel, Smith's recommends using the ceramic rods for final edge honing. The manual slot does just that with the ceramic rods that create a pre-set sharpening angle to lightly hones both sides of your blade at the same time putting a polished, razor-shape edge on your knife. The crossed ceramic rods can also be used for a quick touch-up on an already sharp knife.
