The steel is hardened using the patented Friodur ice hardening system for maximum no-stain properties and excellent blade strength because of the improved resistance to corrosion and pitting. The triple riveted Novodur handles lay on the fully visible tang, giving the knife proper balance and greater strength. For best results, rock the handle up and down in one hand and gently rest the fingers of the other on the back of the blade towards the tip.
