This beautiful hand-crafted Yixing Ware teapot is made from the purple clay of the Yixing Chinese province. Yixing teapots have the unique ability to absorb the tea flavor with continued usage. The fired clay contains tiny air pockets which provide insulation and enhanced taste and aroma of fine tea. This set is covered in an Iron Red glaze giving the outside of the tea pot and the four cups a smooth finish. The tea pot has a bamboo handle and comes with a matching lid. - Iron Red Glaze over Purple Clay
