The blade is forged from one piece of high-carbon German stainless steel that has been heat-treated to 56 RC for long edge life. It features hollow grounds that reduce friction, and is taper ground with a full radius on the cutting edge to create the ideal rocking motion for smooth and efficient cuts. Since the blade is not flat, you can avoid the extra strain caused by abrupt stops. A full tang and abbreviated bolster add strength and balance and the handle is ergonomically designed to work as an extension of your hand for natural comfort. It keeps your hand and forearm in a straighter line, so thereââ¬â¢s less strain on the hand, wrist, and forearm. The handle is all one piece from the bolster to the polished end cap, and is injection-molded with durable ABS plastic to create a permanent and seamless bond. Included is an edge guard to protect your knife, and a special crisscross knurl is added to the end for pulverizing garlic, nuts, and more.
